Review of draft revised salinity impact and CSG irrigation regulatory guidelines
Review of the regulator's proposed assessment of the salinity impacts of CSG water on landscapes and surface streams project report, and associated guidelines for development of beneficial use approvals.
The client was faced with developing a large scale beneficial use investment project in the face of an uncertain and developing regulatory regime and assessment guidelines.
By engaging in the process for review and development of the revised assessment guidelines on the basis of combining a sound scientific rationale and prior track record with a detailed understanding of the regulatory requirements, the client, through Verterra, was able to influence the direction of the guidelines and have confidence in the studies undertaken to achieve regulatory approval.
