DEBATE TOPIC: Is Recycled Water the solution to South-East Queensland’s future water security?

🗓Laura, Peter and our environmental science graduate Kate Waldie had the pleasure of attending ‘The Great Debate’ social event hosted by the Australian Water Association’s Young Water Professionals.

⚖The event featured a paneled debate of local experts, discussing whether recycled water will be the key solution to Queensland’s current and future water challenges.

👩‍💼The event was a fantastic opportunity to listen to a variety of different perspectives from stakeholders on both sides of the debate and discuss the latest advancements in water management and technology.

👏The teams both provided fantastic arguments, with the negative team winning out, asserting that a combined approach of recycled water, stormwater management, water waste reduction and other strategies would offer a more effective and economical solution to future water security.
