The Fitzroy Alliance Gully Rehabilitation Project for Reef Water Quality
Thursday, 01 July 2021
Verterra will embark on this long-term project aimed at significant reduction of fine sediment export from the Lower Fitzroy and Mackenzie Rivers.
This project aims to deliver a reduction of 16,667 tonnes (annually) of fine sediment through rehabilitation and stabiliisation of active gully erosion and complimentary grazing practice change.
The rehabilitation design utilises engineering elements to facilitate site stabilisation while ecological processes are re-established.
